Mahabharata

Mahabharata (read as Mahaa-Bhaarata) is the largest epic of the ancient Indian literature. It contains more than hundred thousand verses. Mahabharata means "the great narrative of the battle of the Bharatas." The Bharatas as mentioned in the Rig Veda are a war-like tribe who lived in the country of the Upper Granges and the Yamuna River.
